أن أصف محمّد صوّان بالكنعانيّ، فهذا ليس من باب كونه فلسطينيّاً يحمل فوق كاهله معاناةً متواصلةً لشعبٍ كاملٍ ذنبه الوحيد أنّه وقع على طريق مخطّطٍ نظاميٍّ يعود إلى ما قبل "تيودور" و"بازل"؛ لكنه كنعانيٌّ لارتباطه المقدّس بالأرض، إذ أنّ هذه الأرض بقيت هاجساً في جميع قصائده إلى حدّ تصريحه "هنا في قلبنا وطنٌ". وهذا ما يمكن أن يكون تجسيداً للارث الكنعانيّ الموصوف من قبل مَن عجز عن فهمه بأنّه "اثم". أمّا أن أطلق عليه لقب "عاشق"، فليس هذا من البدع. لأنّ العشق ظلّ بادياً على مدى الدّيوان، ليس عشقاً للأرض فحسب، بل هو السبيل إلى التّفاعل... مع الحبيبة من ناحيةٍ أولى، فهو وسيلة للاستمرار إذ يطلق حكمته "فمن يعشق ينسى مواعيد المقابر"؛ إلى جانب كونه السّبيل إلى الدّخول في عمق المجتمع المفكّك، وهو الذي يهجس بالتئام الحدود في غير موضعٍ من الدّيوان. على هذا الأساس يجب أن نقرأ ديوان " وطنٌ بملامح عشق" بوصفه بدايةً شعريّةً أصيلة وواعدة لقلمٍ لا يستطيع الفصل بين رؤيته والفعل الكتابيّ، ولا حدود تقف بينهما، لغته رؤيته، ورؤيته لغته... د. لؤي زيتوني
