مايا أبو الحيّات ـ روائيّة وشاعرة من فلسطين، مواليد بيروت 1980.
أصدرتْ روايتها الأولى "حبّات السكّر" في العام 2004، أتبعتْها بديوان شعر في العام 2007 بعنوان "ما قالته فيه".
ثم صدرتْ روايتها "عتبة ثقيلة الروح" في العام 2010، وديوان "تلك الابتسامة...
ذلك القلب" في العام 2012.
كما تكتب مايا للأطفال, وتعمل معهم.

تحكي هذه القصة عن منال، الفتاة كفيفة، التي ورغم إعاقتها تتحول إلى مثالٍ أعلى لأُخوتها، بحيث تمنحهم الحب والسعادة، حيث تجمعهم كلَّ مساء لتحكي لهم قصصاً ممتعة وحكايات شيقة ينتظرونها بفارغ الصبر، قصة مفعمة بالإنسانية تبتعد عن الخطاب والوعظ لتقترب من التصوير والعرض.
