يحتوي هذا الكتاب على ستة عشر فصلا : يتضمن الفصل الأول من الكتاب أهمية تدريس القرآن الكريم وفضله أما الفصل الثاني يتحدث عن مدرس القرآن الكريم من ناحية صفاته وواجباته أما الثالث يتحدث عن الأسس العامة لتدريس القرآن الكريم وفروعها ويتحدث الفصل الرابع عن مبادئ التعلم والتعليم في القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية والفصل الخامس طرق التعليم في القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية الفصل السادس يتحدث عن التخطيط الدراسي للمنهج وتحضير الدروس اليومية . أما الفصل السابع عن طرق تدريس فروع القرآن الكريم (تدريس التلاوة وتدريس التفسير وتدريس القرآن حفظا ) الفصل الثامن يحتوي على المواد الدينية الفصل التاسع تحدث عن طرق تدريس التوحيد أما العاشر تحدث عن طرق تدريس الفقه أما الفصل الحادي عشر يحتوي على تفسير الحديث الشريف والفصل الثاني عشر تحدث عن طرق تدريس السيرة النبوية والثالث عشر تحدث عن طرق تدريس التهذيب أما الرابع عشر تحدث عن النشاط الديني اللاصفي في الدراسات القرآنية أما الفصل الخامس عشر تحدث في وسائل الايضاح في تدريس القرآن الكريم والتربية الأسلامية وأخيرا جاء الفصل السادس عشر شاملا التقويم في تدريس المواد الدينية
