تتعرض "لينا" لتجربة حب فاشلة وقاسية، تضطر معها أن تترك الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية إلى "بورتوريكو" في أمريكا الجنوبية حيث تعمل راقصة في ملهى ليلي. يتعرض حبيبها الخائن وهو من أسرة موسرة لإطلاق النيران عليه وينقل في حالة خطرة إلى المستشفى حيث يظل في الرعاية المركزة ثم يموت. وتدور الشبهات حول "لينا" ولكن الشرطة تحفظ التحقيق لعدم كفاية الأدلة. ولكن شقيقه الأوسط "كاد" كان مقتنعاً بأن "لينا" هي المذنبة. ويحاول خلال ستة أشهر تتبع آثارها عن طريق مخبر خاص إلى أن يعثر عليها. ولما لم تكن تعرفه شخصياً فقد قامت بينهما علاقة عاطفية من جانب الشابة حيث تقع في غرامه ويحاول هو استغلال هذا الغرام ليدعوها إلى نزهة بحرية على يخته حيث يعيدها إلى بلده ليحاول اكتشاف الحقيقة. فهل "لينا" هي القاتلة أم لا؟ وماذا سيحدث للعلاقة بينها وبين شقيق حبيبها الخائن؟
