"داعش...الكتاب الأسود"، للصحافي والكاتب اللبناني فادي وليد عاكوم أول كتاب صدر في المنطقة العربية حول تنظيم داعش والذي يعتبره الكاتب تحقيقاً مطولاً حول داعش، في طياته الكثير من أسرار وفضائح هذا التنظيم ويحتوي على أراء مجموعة كبيرة من الصحافيين العرب حتى إن الغلاف رسمه الفنان السوري العالمي علي فرزات وهذا مما جعل من الكتاب ثورة إعلامية-ثقافية ضد داعش لمواجهة الفكر بالفكر والكلمة بالكلمة.
أما محتوى الكتاب فهو عبارة عن تقارير وحوارات صحافية ومعلومات موثقة بالتواريخ والمصادر الأصلية وتم الإعتماد على وكالات الأنباء العالمية والتقارير الدولية المعترف بها علماً أن الكثير من المعلومات تم إغفالها بسبب عدم التأكد من صحة مصادرها، والمعلومات الخاصة الواردة في هذا الكتاب موثقة بأسماء المصادر علماً أن بعضها تمنى عدم ورود اسمها ضمن الكتاب والإكتفاء بالتصاريح فقط، كما أن بعض الناشطين والصحافيين والمواطنين السوريين الذين يعيشون الآن تحت حكم دولة داعش المزعومة طلبوا عدم الإفصاح عن اسمائهم الحقيقية واستبدالها باسماء مستعارة حفاظاً على ارواحهم وارواح عائلتهم تحسباً للتعرض لهم من قبل عناصر هذه العصابة الاجرامية بسبب تعبيرهم عن ارائهم بصراحة.
وكون الموضوع يتعلق بتنظيم ديني طائفي تطرق الكاتب الى الاراء الشرعية وموقف الدين منها، وذلك بالاعتماد على اراء بعض رجال الدين وبعض التفسيرات والاحاديث الموثوقة والمعتمدة من قبل الشرائح الكبرى، وتم اعتماد المنهج نفسه بالنسبة لبعض الاراء القانونية المستقاة من افكار بعض اهل القانون، بالاضافة الى الاعتماد على اراء بعض الكتاب والصحافيين الذين اثروا الكتاب بتصريحاتهم حول داعش ومخاطرها.
