بأسلوب إنتقادي ساخر، يلتقط عبد الله المفلح في مجموعته القصصية الجديدة "هيله " سعاد حسني الأخرى" مظاهر إجتماعية شاخصة في بلاده ويتناولها بالسرد والوصف والتحليل، ما يؤكد إرتباط الفتى بالحياة، فقمة الإبداع أن يحكي القاص المظاهر البسيطة للناس العاديين والتي يمكن من خلالها إرسال رسالة ما، تثير في الوجدان الجمعي مزيجاً من النقمة والثورة على الواقع بكل تجلياته وتعقيداته، وهو يفعل ذلك برصد مواقف متأزمة في الحياة يعيشها الكائن الحي مثل عدم أهلية القضاء في إصدار الأحكام كما في قصة "إحتقان"، وغفلة العرب عن القضية الفلسطينية، وانعدام الحديث عن شرعية النضال ضد المحتل كما في قصة "أبو كتف"، وتحالف رجال السلطة ورجال المال، وإصدار قوانين تتواءم مع مصالحهما والإلتفاف على الشريعة الإسلامية كما في قصة "الهيئة الشرعية" والعادات والتقاليد التي أودت ب"هيلة" الفتاة الطموحة والمتعلمة، إلى الإنتحار بعد منعها من العمل وقيادة السيارة وتعليمها في الخارج، كما في قصة "هيلة سعاد حسني الأخرى" مع الفارق بين سبب الإنتحار لدى الفنانة، والفتاة طبعاً.
إن كتابة مثل هذه حتماً ستقود إلى كتابات أخرى، لأنها استطاعت أن تفتح الباب للحث على التغيير على المستوى الفردي والمجتمعي، وكل ذلك يجري على لسان الراوي ليعكس نوعاً من النقد والمرارة والخيبة، وقد أحسن المفلح باختيار مفرداته، بأناقة، أو بحساسية مرهفة؛ فقدم لنا نصوصاً قصصية ممتعة، متماسكة، توقظ الضمائر، ولا تخلو من فائدة.
تضم المجموعة اثنتان وعشرون قصة قصيرة جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "أبو كتف" ، "إحتقان" ، "أقفال" ، "الإرهابيون" ، "البدلاء" ، "الحفرة" ، "البومة" ، "الرجل الناقة" ، "اللامنتمي" (...) وعناوين أخرى.
