انخرط في صفوف المقاومة الفلسطينية واستلم عدة مناصب في مؤسسات منظمة التحرير الفلسطينية.
عمل نائباً لرئيس تحرير مجلة الكاتب الفلسطيني الصادرة عن اتحاد الكتاب العرب والصحفيين الفلسطينيين في بيروت.
عضو في جمعية القصة والرواية.
من مؤلفاته: ذكرى الأيام الماضية - قصص - بيروت 1970.
أيام الحرب والموت- رواية - بيروت 1973.
بيت أخضر ذو سقف قرميدي- قصص- بغداد 1974.
البكاء على صدر الحبيب- رواية - بيروت 1974.

فكرت أن ألقي بنفسي إلى البحر من فوق سطح السفينة، أن أذهب إلى الملح واليود والماء. إلى ما ملأت أمي به جسدي وصدري ورئتي، إلى رمل يافا. إلى البرتقالة الأولى.. وتأوهت.. تأوهت وانخلع فؤادي. آه.. يا بيروت آه أو تعلمين.. ورأت الفلسطيني يرحل في الزمان والبحر والرمل.. رأيته يقاتل الساحرات بعينين وأذنين مفتوحين. رأيته يقتحم الأرخبيلات مصارعاً الوحوش بيدين عاريتين، وبقلب لا يخلع.. رأيت البارحة الأميركية تصفر.. تصفر.. وتتلاشى.. ورأيت.. رأيتك يا بيروت تتوهجين.. وعبر أفقك.. ورملك.. وزمنك.. أرى.. شكل البرتقالة الفلسطينية الأولى.. وأرى ذراع أمي.. والرمل الذي نامت عليه مع أي تحت السماء والنجوم.. في الزمن الجميل..
