تعالج هذه الدراسة الصورة المكانية ودلالاتها ، و ذلك من خلال عبقرية المبدع الذي يجعل المكان فيها فاعلا و مؤثرا. وقد ارتكزت الدراسة على اربعة ابواب شمل الاول منها تمهيدا للصورة و المكان وما يتعلق بهما من اشكال و هيئات اضافة الى محصلة لبناء المكان السمعبصري من ناحية العناصر الذاتيه و قد شكل هذا الباب بمجمله باب التعبير . ثم انتقل المؤلف الى باب الثاني و هو باب التأويل حيث عرض الى تأويل المكان في الصورة و احالة المكان الى رموزه و دلالاته عبر العمل الابداعي ، اضافة الى ثنائية الصورة و المكان من خلال النص الروائي و الفيلم السينمائي و كذلك المكان بين المسرح و الشاشة . و خصص الباب الثالث للنقل ، قدم المؤلف من خلاله رؤية خاصة حول الاثر المكاني و الصورة التسجيلية مع تطبيق المعطيات المتعلقة بالاثر المكاني في الصورة التسجيلية . أما الباب الرابع فهو استقراءات و خلاصات ، واكب فيها المؤلف المنجز المعاصر للسينما حتى تاريخ صدور الكتاب من خلال محاور متعددة . وقد ختم هذا الكتاب القيم و المميز بمادته و باسلوبه بخلاصات عبقرية لابواب الكتاب وملحق مصور لبعض الافلام التي تطرقت لها الدراسة.
