الدكتور جابر عصفور وذكريات عن ذاك الزمن الذى مضى بكل ما فيه من حلاوة الأيام وذكرياتها التى تترك فى النفس أثراً لا يمحى من عقل الانسان ووجدانه يستعيدها حينما يريد تكون معيناً له ليكمل بها مشوار الحياة . ويذكر د.جابر عصفور ذكريات من زمن الشباب حيث يذكر زمن الستينات وسحره فى ذاكرته ، ويسأل هل له هذا السحر لارتباطه بسنوات الشباب والتكوين الفكرى حيث فى هذه السنوات جمعت الأحلام الفردية والقومية معاً أم ماذا ؟ ، ويحكى د.جابر عن زمن الستينات وكيف علم من زملائه فى الجامعة أن مكافأة التفوق يتم صرفها وكيف أنفق المبلغ الكبير – بحساب الأسعار وقتها – على ما يحبه من الكتب وفنون الأدب والفن المختلفة فى شوارع القاهرة . أما حكايات الزمن الجميل الذى قد مضى فيحكى د.جابر عن عشقه للمشى فهو أحد العاشقين للسير فى شوارع وسط المدينة فى القاهرة ، وكيف كانت وسيلته المفضلة بعد أن قدم من مدينة المحلة لمعرفة أسماء شوارع القاهرة من بعضها هى وجود المكتبات الشهيرة بها وعن متعة مشاهدة واجهات العمارات فى الشوارع التى لا تزال حتى الآن تحتفظ برونق المعمار الجميل .
