"كل ليله حين اتذكرك، يجري مع المامَرْ معك. من غير إراده أرتعشْ طير بمطر صادَهْ شَرَكْ. يختل توازُنْ هالفِكْر، دوّامة تسرح بالفلك، تتزاحم براسي الصّور. جسمي انتهى وروحي بسَفَرْ، ورَعْشِة بَرِدْ فوق الجلد، تحت الجلد يسري الخَدَرْ، يراودني ساعتها النَّعْسْ ما هو نَعَسْ... مثل النَّعَسْ يتسارع بصدري النفس حتى النَّفَسْ... غير النَّفَسْ! مدري وش اللّي يصير؟... حاول معي تفسر معي فَقْدِ الوعِيْ يلِّي سَكْنتِ بمَدْمَعِي حاضِرْ وغايبْ للأَبَدْ عايش معي. حاول معي. علِّمني يلّي بِلْوَما تجاوب قبل ما اسألك... يلي تِعْبُرْ بالخلايا بكل خليَّة تنسى ظِلَّك. علّمني قُلِّي لو خطر لي إنِّي أرْوِي الِّي حصلْ لي كيف أفكر... كيف أصوِّرْ، كيف أعبِّر. كيف أقلك يا حبيبي، كيف أَقُلَّكْ. أول اسم يخطر عَبَالي حفظته اسمك، أوّل رسم مرّ بخيالي عشقته رسمك، أول علم حيّر سؤالي عرفته علمك. من خِلالَكْ صِرْت أحِسْ الدِّنيا أكبر، من خيالك إكتشفت الفكرة مجْهَرْ، عيونَكْ بكشْفِ الخَفَايا، تُؤْمُرْ بدائي. وشِفايا ذُلِّي عندك كبرياءْ ونظرة منك لي كفاية. الدنيا لمّا غرَّبتْنا جينا لَدْيارك لفايا، من عشقنا ومن خجلنا نمشي عَدْرُوبك خَفَايا. أشعر اللّذَه بعذابكْ... ألقى وصلك في غيابّكْ، كلما تبعدني عنّك ترتهن روحي ع بَابكْ... لو منعت الميّة عني أرتوي بلمحة سرابك، يعبر بشرياني حبّك للأبد أنطر وعودَكْ. إِنْتَ مبدع، إنت ساحر، إنت صادق، إنت طاهر، إنت ساكن... إنتت عابر، إنت راوي... إنت شاعِرْ. بكل قصيده... بكل روايه، بأَيِّ سهرة بأيْ حكايه، بالبدايه... بالنهاية، بأي شِيْ يُخْطُرْ لَخَاطِرْ، تنفرد بيك البطولة، إنت أوَّل يا حبيبي وإنْتَ آخِرْ".
ولكأن كلماته عمر الفرّاء قبائل من المعاني، ولكأن معانيه سيّالات موسيقية، خيالات لطيفة تطوف في الأعماق، تدغدغ الأحاسيس، تنشرها من خدرها، فتسري في النفس مشاعر هي نسمات صيفية في حرّ هاجرة يوم قائظ.
