معين بسيسو هو شاعر فلسطيني من مواليد غزة 1926 وعاش في مصر حيث خاض تجربة المسرح الشعري.
أنهى علومه الابتدائية والثانوية في كلية غزة عام 1948.
وهو شقيق الكاتب والاديب عابدين بسيسو بدأ النشر في مجلة " الحرية " اليافاوية ونشر فيها أول قصائده عام 1946، التحق سنة 1948 بالجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، وتخرج عام 1952 من قسم الصحافة وكان موضوع رسالته " الكلمة المنطوقة والمسموعة في برامج إذاعة الشرق الأدنى " وتدور حول الحدود الفاصلة بين المذياع والتلفزيون من جهة والكلمة المطبوعة في الصحيفة من جهة أخرى.
انخرط في العمل الوطني والديموقراطي مبكرا، وعمل في الصحافة والتدريس.
وفي 27 كانون الثاني (يناير) 1952 نشر ديوانه الأول (المعركة).
سجن في المعتقلات المصرية بين فترتين الأولى من 1955 إلى 1957 والثانية من 1959 إلى 1963.
كان معين شيوعيًا فلسطينيًا وصل إلى أن أصبح أمينًا عامًا للحزب الشيوعي الفلسطيني في قطاع غزة، وكان سمير البرقوني نائبًا للأمين العام مقيمًا في القطاع، وفي عام 1988 عندما توحد الشيوعيون الفلسطينيون في حزبهم الموحد، أعلن بسيسو ذلك من على منبر المجلس الوطني الفلسطيني الذي عقد بالجزائر حينها ،وظل معين عضو اللجنة المركزية للحزب حتى وفاته.

"يا ابن المدارات السحيقة يا عريس اللوز والليمون.. غنيتَ للأحياء والأموات.. غناكَ الزمن.. يا صاحبي في النعش متّسع لأغنيتين واحدة تقول: أنا الكفن وتقول واحدة: تعبتُ من الرحيل إلى الرحيل وتعبت من وطن يموت بلا وطن! يا صاحبي حياً وميتاً، أيها النهم البخيل، في النعش متّسع لصعلوكين، كيف مضيت وحدكَ، دون صاحبك القتيل؟! زيتونة الطوفان في قلبي، تعاتب فيك بركان النخيل ماذا عليك لو انتظرت دقيقتين! .. ماذا عليك لو انتظرتَ قصيدتين ووردتين ومجزرة.. ما كان عدلاً منك أن تمضي ونحن مقيّدون إلى حديد مجنزره.. وتريدُ قبراً مثل من ماتوا؟!.. وهل عشنا كمن عاشوا؟!.. وهل متنا كمن ماتوا؟! تواضَع.. ! وتريد قبراً؟! .. غير خندق ثائرٍ لا قبر لك.. في موطن صليتَ ألا يجهلك.. وبكيت كي يستقبلك.. كم من نبيّ علّلك.. كم من إله أمّلك.. يا صاحبي لا قبر لك لا قبر لك!.. فانهض إلينا يا رفيقي انت تدري كم نحبّك.. انت تدري كم نحبّك" الشاعر سميح القاسم - 1984
