القصيددة المجرادية هي من عيون التراث النحوي المغاربي في القرن السابع الهجري، وهي مما شغل ابن المجرادي "أبا عبد الله محمد... السلوي" (ت 778) في كتاب ابن هشام الأنصاري "الإعراب عن قواعد الإعراب" وهو جهد يتناول تركيب الحملة وتحليلها، فنظم المجرادي هذه القصيدة يعارض ويلخص القواعد والمسائل، تيسيراً لها وتقريباً إلى الدارسين والمتعلمين، فكان نصّ: القصيدة المجرادية في نظم الجمل: "فأوجه الإعراب، في الرحمن/وما يليه، سبعة واثنان، رفعهما، نصبهما، خفضهما/لعلةٍ، في كل وجهٍ، منهما، ورفع الأول، ونصب الثاني/وعسك، ترَ الإعراب بالبيان، وخفض الأول، ونصب الثاني/أو رفعه، فاعرفهُ (...)"
ولما كنت هذه القصيدة هي أجلّ ما أُلِّف في قواعد الإعراب، سالمة في ألفاظها من الأعراب، شرحها بالاستناد إلى ما جمع حولها من مصنفات ثلاثة، فوزعها في فصول وفقر وتعليقات وخاصة كتاب "مبرز القواعد" و"حاشية العمراني". ثم ضبط النص كله بالشكل اللازم. ولا سيما الآيات القرآنية والشعر، ووزع فيه علامات الترقيم، وردّ الشواهد النثرية والشعرية إلى مصادرها الأصلية، وفسر الغريب والمشكل، وتعقب ما كان وهماً أو خطأً بالتوجيه والتصويب؛ ووقف أمام الاقتباسات والنصوص المنقولة، التي أوردها الرسموكي والعمراني. وما جاء من شروح اللامية عند الزياتي ويبروك والعمراني وغيرهم من محشو النسخ عن القصيدة المجرادية ومصادرهم في ذلك.
هذا، وقد توزعت عناوين الكتاب إلى مقدمة عن التراث المغربي وتاريخ اللامية المجرادية ووصف النسخ ومنهج التحقيق، يتبع ذلك فصول عديدة هي: فصل في بيان الجملة الفعلية والإسمية ومتفرعاتها، فصل في الجمل التي لها محل من الإعراب، حكم الجملة بعد النكرة والمعرفة، ما يتعلق من حروف الجر وما لا يتعلق، حكم المجرور، فصل في رفعه الفاعل بعد النفي والاستفهام، حكم الظرف، وأخيراً: خاتمة المتن والشرح والحاشية...
