يحتوي هذا الكتاب على أربعة عشر فصلا، اختصت فصولة الثلاثة الأولى لتعريف القارئ بالمفاهيم الأساسية، والمشكلة الإقتصادية، ومنحى إمكانيات الإنتاج وذلك لبناء قاعدة ثقافية عريضة. وتم تخصيص الفصل الرابع لبحث نظرية العرض والطلب، والفصل الخامس للتعرف على مرونات الطلب والعرض وتم بحث النظرية الكلاسيكية للمنفعة والنظرية الحديثة لسلوك المستلهلك في الفصلين السادس والسابع , وخصص الفصلان الثامن والتاسع لعرض وتحليل نظرية الأنتاج ونظرية التكاليف . وقد تناول المؤلف بحث توازن المؤسسة في أسواق المنافسة الكاملة والإحتكار التام والمنافسة الإحتكارية واحتكار القلة في الفصل العاشر والحادي عشر والثاني عشر والثالث عشر على التوالي. ثم نختم الكتاب بالفصل الرابع عشر الذي خصص لبحث كيفية تحديد عناصر الإنتاج. كما تم وضع مجموعة من الأسئلة والتمارين في نهاية كل فصل ليسترشد بها القارئ وتكون عونا له على الفهم الدقيق لموضوعات الفصل.
