( العائلة /الزوجة : نشوى عثمان ( حصلت نشوى على بكالوريوس هندسة وتعمل معدة برامج في قناة النيل الثقافية وهي إبنة الفنان القدير عثمان عبد المنعم ) الابناء : شادي ،شذى ، آدم ) وهو كاتب وناقد مسرحي ،يعمل رئيس تحرير تنفيذي لجريدة مسرحنا الأسبوعية الصادرة عن وزارة الثقافة المصرية ، صدر له 17 كتابا في المسرح والنقد عن دور نشر مصرية وعربية وأجنبية منها (وشم العصافير ،جنة الحشاشين ،أيام إخناتون ،مراكب الشمس ،الغواية ،مقام الشيخ الغريب ،متحف الأعضاء البشرية ،كوميديا الأحزان ،حكاية سعيد الوزان ،سجن فايف ستارز ،...) قدمت هذه المسرحيات جميعا علي خشبات المسارح داخل مصر وخارجها ،كما ترجمت عدة مسرحيات له للإنجليزية والفرنسية ،وقدمت مسرحيته (كوميديا الأحزان) بالإنجليزية علي مسارح برودواي بنيويورك ،ثم أعيد تقديمها برؤي إخراجية مختلفة في عشرة ولايات أمريكية لأكثر من سبعة مخرجين أمريكان .
حصل علي جوائز عربية ودولية هامة منها : كاتب العام من جامعة هارفارد ببوسطن 2011، ساويرس الثقافية لكبار الكتاب ،إتحاد كتاب مصر،سعاد الصباح / الكويت ،المجلس الأعلي للثقافة ،بغداد عاصمة للثقافة العربية ،د.
حسن يعقوب / الكويت ،وهذا العام 2018 حصل كتابه (حكاية سعيد الوزان) علي جائزة معرض القاهرة الدولي للكتاب كأفضل كتاب في مجال المسرح .
كتاباته المسرحية تبتعد عن الواقع لكي تعكسه بشكله الأقرب للحقيقة وتمزج عدة وسائط أدبية وفنية لترسم بالكلمات بناءا مسرحيا / فنيا وفكريا متجاوزا للكتابات الكلاسيكية العادية ،لذا فقد أقام الكثير من ورش الكتابة المسرحية داخل مصر وخارجها وتم تكريمه عشرات المرات لإسهاماته المتميزة في الحراك المسرحي المصري والعربي.
