النصوص هنا، ليست مكتوبة من قبل متمرس بالأدب والشعر، فلقد ولج كتابة الأدب من زمن قريب. هو رجل علم وطب وغارق فيهما حتى النخاع، أمضى زمناً في المهجر لكن روحه لم تهجر أرضه بل مزروعة هناك وترفيض الرحيل..
يغلب على مقطوعاته، نزعة الحنين الذي لم يتركه أبداً. والحساسية البالغة تجاه أبناء قومه؛ تاريخهم ومعاناتهم وحقب القهر الذي مارسته الأنظمة المختلفة عليهم..
ومصائرهم التي أناخت بهم في أصقاع الدنيا وتركت ورائهم بذورهم في الأرض التي منها ولدت أقدم الحضارات.
في الكثير من القطع نرى وصفاً لحي أو لشارع أو لنهر أو قمر.. ولم يغفل مفردات تاريخه التليد، فأكيتو يحصد الأرض وعشتار تختال بين الرعية بجمالها وسطوتها، وسميل تبكي فلذات أكبادها، وتنادي عليهم كي يعودوا من بعيد..
تجربة جديدة ورائدة وجريئة لطبيب أراد أن يدخل عالماً غريباً عليه نوعاً ما وأن يجول فيه ويحاكيه، وله في ذلك كل الحق والحرية!
نقرأ له: بلى! / إني قد هجرتُك، / صَبَّرتُ قَلبي وعَيني بالبُكَاء. / إن كانَ جسمي، / أمسى بعيداً، / أقبلت روحي إليكَ بالولاء. / قد دعاه بعضُ الناس غدراً، / وهل، / عرفوني الناسُ، إلَّا بالوفاء!
