عائشة خلف الكعبي، قاصة وأديبة إماراتية، نشرت أول أعمالها وهي على مقاعد الدراسة العلمية بجامعة الإمارات، ثم أبعدها التخصص في علم الأحياء المجهرية وغربتها في الولايات المتحدة عن هوايتها رَدَحاً من الزمن، لكنها عادت حاملة شهادة الماجستير واستظلت بحروفها على شطئان الصفحات الثقافية المحلية والاقليمية، وتنقلت بمسيرتها المهنية بين العمل أستاذة مساعدة بكلية العلوم – جامعة الإمارات، وأميناً عاماً مساعداً للجنة الوطنية الإماراتية لليونيسكو، ثم خاضت تجربة التقديم الإعلامي مذيعة للأخبار بقناتي أبوظبي ودبي. واكب نضوج قلم عائشة أدبياً تجوالها بين دفات أشهر كتّاب القصة العالمية وكان عشقها للأدب العالمي بوابتها إلى عالم الترجمة، فقدمت مجموعة من القصص والأشعار العالمية بأسلوب شاعري موسيقي فريد، وكونت بسلاسة لغتها وتذوقها الفذ تصوراً أخاذاً للنص المترجم لا يقل في قيمته عن النص الأصل. وفي عام 2007 طبعت عائشة أول كتبها تحت عنوان “غرفة القياس” لتقدم أولى مجموعاتها القصصية القصيرة، وهي الآن تقدم المجموعة الثانية في شكل قصص قصيرة جداً، كما تستعد لطباعة ترجماتها الأدبية في كتاب ينشر قريباً.
