كان الصوت الذي يتصادى رجعه في داخلي قد انسحب إلى بعيد . لهذا السبب لم استطع أن أكتب ولا كلمة واحدة خلال الشهر المنصرمة . إذ بقيت طوال الوقت متسمراً هكذا ، جالساً خلف الطاولة . وفي الحقيقة لم أعرف أي هراء أفعل . ثم خيّل إليّ أن صوتي كان يراقبني عن كثب . يتأمّلني . وقد أدرك أنني أنادي عليه بكلمات تكوّنت من تلقاء نفسها إثر حركات بسيطة لا أدري كيف قمت بها . أخرجت قلم الحبر ذا اللون اللازوردي من علبته . فتحت غطاءه ثم أخذت أسحب الحبر إلى داخله رويداً رويداً . رفعته إلى أعلى كي أتأكد إن كان خزّان الحبر قد امتلأ أم لا . بعد ذلك التفت إلى دفتري الذي تركته مفتوحاً ، وهو باقٍ على حاله هكذا منذ عدة اشهر . وجّهت قلم الحبر بتجاه نصاعة ورقه ، فتأكدت من امتلاء الخزان بالحبر .تماماً في تلك اللحظة رنّ تلفوني . فوضعت القلم جانباً وقمت من فوري ، وبخطوات سريعة هرعت إلى الركن القصي من الصالة .
