لم يعد الرسم اليوم بحاجة إلى البحث عما يؤكد انتمائه إلى عالمنا، وذلك لآن عالمنا صار يعيش حالة اهتزاز لا يمكن معها تخيل صورته مستقبلاً. وليس مفاجئاً أن يكون الرسم هو النبوءة، بل المفاجئ، حقاً أن عدداً كبيرا من رسامينا يسعون وبكل ما امتلكوا من مواهب إلى وضع الأقنعة التي تفصل بين الجمهور وبين الرسم، فهذه الأقنعة التي هي وسيلة لإخفاء العجز ستكون وسيلة لتضليل الجمهور وهي الوسيلة المثلى التي يبحث عنها جمهور يرغب في المتعة، طويلة الأمد. هذا الجمهور الذي يرغب في أن لا تهدر أمواله في متعة زائلة أو من أجل وهم جميل. وهذا ما لا يود الاعتراف به، وهو أيضاً ما لا يود رسامون الإقرار به. متعة زائلة ليست إلا وهماً. وغير أن هنالك من يرغب في إطالة أحد هذه المتعة. ولا يمكن حدوث ذلك بغير التمسك بثبات ما يسبب هذه المتعة، هذه المؤامرة التي يشترك فيها مقتنو الأعمال الفنية والرسامون لا بد أن تحدث التباساً كبيراً في حركة الرسم الحديث، حيث تحجرن أساليب عدد كبير من رسامينا عند مستوى معين من الاكتشاف، فصار الواحد منهم يكرر ما فعله في وقت سابق، وصارت لوحاته تتشابه لا بما تتصف به من أشكال نهائية، لكن بنظمها البنائية.. في الصفحات التالية محاولة انتقائية لا لتفسير المنطلقات النظرية لما يحدث للرسم اليوم من تحولان، بل إثارة الاهتمام بالمناطق الخلوية التي اتخذت الأسلوبية منها موقفاً عدائياً, كما وفي هذه الصفحات قراءة نظرية لواقع الرسم اليوم ولما يحدث في الحياة العملية من انتهاكات لعالم الرسم.
