لما كان الإسناد ميزة هذه الأمة، وهو الركن الأساسي الذي تبنى عليه علوم الشرع، فقد اهتم به علماء الإسلام قديماً وأعطوه من العناية ما لم يعطوا لغيره حتى جعلوه من الدين؛ وكيف لا يكون من الدين، وهو الأداة الأساسية التي نقل القرآن الكريم إلينا بواسطتها، وقد عدّه علماء القراءة أحد الأركان الثلاثة التي لا تصح القراءة بدونها، بل هو الركن الأول منها، كان على المسلمين الإعتناء به أخذاً ودراسة.
ورغم ما حصل من قلة الإعتناء بالسند في العصور الأخيرة، فإنه ما زال هناك بقية من القراء يحافظون عليه إلى يومنا هذا في بقاع متعددة من العالم.
من هنا، جاء إختيار المؤلف لموضوع كتابه، أي لتعلق الموضوع بالقرآن الكريم، ولجدة الموضوع، ولقلة الدراسات حول السند القرآني عموماً وإنقطاع التأليف منذ عصور، ولحاجة الأمة في هذه الظرفية بالذات لمعرفة الإسناد وضبطه والمحافظة عليه، في ظل ما يتعرض له القرآن الكريم من محاولة لرفع القداسة عنه وذلك بالتشكيك في طريق نقله، وللمساهمة في إثراء التراث الإسلامي في أحد أهم حقوله وهو علو القرآن الكريم.
