يحتوي كتاب الأحماض والقواعد على مواضيع هامة قدمت بأسلوب يتم فيها التعلم ذاتيا، حيث تطرقنا في الفصل الأول إلى بعض التعاريف الضرورية كتعريف المحلول ، المول ، التركيز ، ...إلخ ، وأتبعناها بتمارين محلولة تناولنا فيها خاصة كيفية تحضير المحاليل المائية انطلاقا من أجسام صلبة وسائلة ، وفي الفصل الثاني قمنا بدراسة تفصيلية عن كيفية حساب أغلب أنواع الأحماض والقواعد، البسيطة منها والمتعددة الوظيفة وكذا خلائطها (المزائج) بالإضافة إلى حساب تراكيز جميع الأصناف الكيميائية الموجودة في المحلول وأتبعنا هذه الدراسة بتمارين محلولة، أما في الفصل الثالث فقد أجرينا دراسة تفصيلية لمعايرات الأحماض والقواعد البسيطة، المتعددة الوظيفة والخلائط ودعمناها بتمارين توضيحية عن كيفية رسم منحنيات معايرة افتراضية لاستغلالها كمنحنيات مرجعية لمعايرات تجريبية.
