ويتناول هذا الكتاب شبكة الإنترنت بما تقدمه من خدمات وبرامج وعلى وجه الخصوص برنامج دردشة الإنترنت وتأثيرها على الشباب وعلاقاتهم الأسرية، كما يتناول الموقع العالمي "Facebook" والموضوعات المرتبطة معه وذلك من خلال سبعة فصول رئيسية يتناول الفصل الأول منها "الشباب"، والفصل الثاني "الإنترنت"، والفصل الثالث "دردشة الإنترنت"ن كما يتناول الفصل الرابع "قواعد استخدام الإنترنت"، والفصل الخامس "الفيس بوك"، والفصل السادس "دردشة الإنترنت والعلاقات الإجتماعية للشباب (دراسة ميدانية)" تناول نتائج إحدى الدراسات الميدانية الجادة التي قامت بها الباحثة/ رجاء علي، أما الفصل السابع والأخير فتناول "تجارب واقعية".
