ولدت أسلي بيركر في إزمير بتركيا عام 1975.
وتخرجت من جامعة دوكوز إيلول بشهادة في الأدب والثقافة الأمريكية.
بعد التعليم الجامعي ، عملت في مجلة أسبوعية، وكصحفي مستقل وصحفي في مدينة نيويورك.
بعد عودتها إلى اسطنبول في عام 2010 ، عملت كاتبة عمود في الصحف اليومية التركية بما في ذلك ميليت ، كمدونة وكاتبة عمود في العديد من المنشورات على الإنترنت ، وهي حاليًا رئيسة تحرير دار النشر التركية Beyaz Baykus Yayinlari.

وفي الرواية: حامد قاتل مأجور عديم الرحمة، لديه مبدأ يتمثل بعدم سؤال من يطلب منه قتل أحد عن السبب، وحامد هذا وثيق الصلة بالعصابات الإجرامية في اسطنبول.
لطفي شاب أرعن، يخاطب حامداً بلقب "خالي" مع أنه ليس ابن شقيقته. ولطفي هذا متورّط في الترويج للممنوعات في أنحاء شتى من المدينة وخاصة في الجامعة.
ذات يوم، بينما كان لطفي يؤدي عمله بالجامعة كاد أن يقع في قبضة الشرطة لولا مساعدة دنيز، وفي إحدى الليالي، اتصل دنيز بلطفي طالباً منه المساعدة رداً للجميل الذي أسداه إليه في الجامعة، فما كان من لطفي إلا أن سارع لردّ الجميل وقبضَ مبلغاً محترماً من المال تقاسمه مع خاله حامد.
هذه هي أحجار الرحى في قصة"مقبرة الجلادين". إنها قصة عن القدر والقتل والخيانة؛ عندما يقتل المتبنى متبنيه، وعندما تدور الدوائر ليرقد القاتل في مقبرة ضحاياه، ويقود القدر إلى اكتشاف قاتل عجزت الأدلة عن كشف هويته.
