بكثير من الرومانسية وبمزيج من الواقعية يكتب الشاعر "علي الرواحي" قصائده، فنحلق معه في سماء الشعر، نتعرف من خلاله إلى ما ينبض به إحساسه كشاعر يرى الحياة والوجود برؤية خاصة تميزه عن غيره من شعراء جيله، بأسلوبه الرمزي البعيد عن التكلف والواضح في المعنى وفي الشكل، فنراه يصدح في قصيدته الرائعة والتي خصّ بها عنوان مجموعته الشعرية التي جاءت تحت عنوان:
"لا ظل للأسماء يحرسها. عد يا غريبُ إلى أقاصيك القصية فاليمام هنا غريبُ واحتدام الليل بالنايات والغافِ (...) عد كالصدى كالحزن في صلواتنا يغرى به وطن صليب".
كذلك تتضمن هذه المجموعة الشعرية قصائد أخرى جاءت تحت عناوين متعددة نذكر منها: زرقاء، حديث الشبابيك للفجر، مساء اليمامات/غربة أو دم الياسمين، بكاء بنفسجة حول قلبي، جديلةُ شمس.. وآخر أيقونة للغريب، أغنية الليل/مرثية الليل... إلى آخر ذلك من قصائد عبّرت عن رؤية شاعر من شعراء الأدب العربي الحديث.
"تركت الكلام الحميم على جمرة من كلام وصمت ونمت، فمري على إذن ربما يتسنى لقلبي التوقف قلب الثلاثين لا ليقول الحقيقة، لكن ليكبر في نظر الياسمين".
