بدأ مشواره مع القلم العام 1945 ، انتسب الى نقابة المحررين العام 1950 وعمل
محرّراً في العديد من الصحف اللبنانية "الاوريان"، "البيرق"، "الاحرار"، "الديار"، "بيروت المساء"،
"الجريدة"، "الشرق"، "الاتحاد اللبناني"، "رقيب الاحوال"، "الدستور"، "المباح"، وله 50
مؤلفاً ادبياً وعلمياً واسس العام 1955 المجلة القمعية الادبية "نصف الليل".
توفي عن عمر يناهز أديب وصحفي لبناني

على تلك الربى المخضرمة، التي اطمأنت الطبيعة فيها بكل جمالها وخصائصها، ثم أشرفت على بحر يرق فإذا به السكون والدعة والزبرجد، ويثور، فإذا به العاصفة المزمجرة الهادرة، ينسج لنا القاص المبدع بيار روفائيل رائعته القصصة الممتعة "غداً يطل الربيع". فإذا بنا نحيا قصة حب فريدة تعشعش في قلب طالب وطالبته، وتعمر قلبيهما الفتيين بأحلام عذاب، لا تعكر صفهوها سوى السر الرهيب الذي يحيط بأبيه وأمها... ويمنيان نفسيهما بالنعيم المقبل فيرددان غداً يطلّ الربيع. فما عسى ربيعهما أن يكون؟!
