محمد سبيلا كاتب وفيلسوف مغربي.
نشأته ودراسته
كان ميلاده سنة 1942م بالعاصمة الاقتصادية للمغرب الدار البيضاء، تابع دراسته بكل من جامعة محمد الخامس/كلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية بالرباط وجامعة السوربون بباريس، فحصل سنة 1967م على الإجازة في الفلسفة وفي نفس السنة التحق محمد سبيلا باتحاد كتاب المغرب، وفي سنة 1974م حصل على دبلوم الدراسات العليا، ونال دكتوراه الدولة سنة 1992م بكلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية بالرباط.
عمله
اشتغل أستاذاً جامعياً بكلية الآداب بالرباط، وشغل منصب رئيس شعبة الفلسفة وعلم الاجتماع وعلم النفس بكلية الآداب بفاس ما بين 1972م و1980م، وترأس الجمعية الفلسفية المغربية ما بين 1994م و2006م.

لم يكن في إمكاننا، ونحن نُعدَ هذا الدفتر حول العقل و العقلانية. إلا أن نسلك سبيل التقصي التاريخي، و الجدل الفلسفي و الحوار الثقافي. ذلك أن العقل ليس مفهوما محددا محدودا، وهو ليس مجموعة من المبادئ المطلقة تعلو على التاريخ و تتعالى على الجدال و الحوار. وهو قدرة على القيام بعمليات تبعا لقواعد. إنه تقنيات ذهنية تختص بها ميادين معينة للتجربة والمعرفة وهذه القواعد والتقنيات تتغير بدلالة الموضوعات التي تنص عليها، واللغة التي تستعملها. و هي تتوقف على المستوى التقني لتطوير العلوم، و ترتبط بالتاريخ الاجتماعي الاقتصادي للمجتمعات، كما تتحدد بالعلائق التي تربط الثقافات.
