حاور المؤلف: زياد منى. بدأ التحول الحقيقي في مسيرة حياتي حين التحقت مباشرة، بعد هزيمة حزيران 1967، في صفوف حركة فتح مقاتلاً، وبالتحديد في جناحها العسكري (قوات العاصفة)، قبل أن أحتل فيها مواقع متعددة، ولكن بالطبع، كانت ثمة بدايات مبكّرة أسست لهذا التحول، وسبقت ذلك بكثير، ولعل تلك البدايات تضيء الخيارات اللاحقة. في الآونة كرر كثير من الأصدقاء السؤال: لماذا لا تكتب مذكراتك، وتسجل فيها تجربتك في صفوف الثورة الفلسطينية؟، ولسان حالهم يقول: هيا! هذه التجربة ليست ملكك، أكتبها للناس فلعل فيها ما هو جديد ومفيد. أشدد هنا على أنه ليست لدي رغبة بتقديم ما هو خاص أو شخصي، فقط أريد أن أستلَّ من هذا الخاص ما يتصل بالعام، وأقدم شهادتي في محاولة للإجابة على السؤال: لماذا هرمنا في كل المعارك التي خضناها، قوميين وأمميين ونقابات شعبية، وخاصة، كفدائيين وثورة فلسطينية مسلحة؟ وكيف وقعنا، في 13/09/1993 إتفاق أوسلو، فأدخلنا رؤوسنا في أنشوطة موتنا المهين، فضيعنا الثورة، وضيعنا دماء الشهداء، وضيعنا فلسطين، لأجد نفسي، بعد 67 عاماً من تجربة حياة حافلة، في المربع الأول، أصلي مع جماعة المؤمنين بأن يهبنا الله سبحانه وتعالى من لَدُنَهُ نصراً!.
