من المنطلق الثابت بأن المواكبة بين المادة النظرية، لأي مساق في العلوم الحياتية أو الطبية، التي تدرس في قاعة المحاضرات، و التطبيق العملي لهذه المادة في المختبر، تعزز استيعابها و فهمها من قبل الطالب، فإنني أقدم هذا الجهد ليكامل الكتاب النظري الذي أعددته هذه السنة. و كما في الكتاب النظري، فإنني حرصت أن تكون المصطلحات العلمية المستخدمة في هذا الأطلس باللغتين الانجليزية و العربية، حتى يتمكن الطالب من التواصل مع العلم العالمي، الذي غالبا ما تكون إصداراته باللغة الإنجليزية، مراعيا أن تكون المصطلحات العربية المقابلة للمصطلحات الأجنبية مبنية على فهم جذور تلك المصطلحات، كلما كان ذلك ممكنا. كذلك، راعيت أن تكون الأشكال و البيانات و الشروحات المتعلقة بها واضحة بدرجة جيدة. لقد غطيت مواضيع هذا الأطلس في بابين، يغطي الأول منهما أنسجة الجسم، و هي الطلائية و الضامة (و تشمل الغضروف و العظم و الدم) و العضلية و العصبية. أما الباب الثاني، فيشمل أجهزة جسم الإنسان و هي الدوري و اللمفاوي و الجلدي و الهضمي و التنفسي و البولي و التناسلي الأنثوي و الذكري و جهاز الغدد الصم.
