الكتاب من تحقيق محيي الدين عوامة. فنشهد في هذه السنوات الأخيرة حركة نشطة بين الناشئة نحو حفظ كتاب ربهم عز وجل. وحرصاً على استيفاء هذه الحركة كمالها وتمامها، فقد رأيت أن يواكب حفظ الإخوة الأحبة كتاب الله عز وجل حفظ طائفة من السنة النبوية، فالقرآن العظيم والسنة المطهرة مثلان متلازمان في الاحتجاج والاهتداء بهما، قال سيدنا رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم: ألا وإني أوتيت الكتاب ومثله معه". وقد تم اختيار هذه الطائفة من الأحاديث الشريفة وفق ما يلي: أولاً: أن تكون وجيزة في ألفاظها. ثانياً: وتبعاً لهذا الغرض: فقد قسمت بعض ما فيه طول إلى قسمين متتاليين، أو جعلت كل قسم في المكان المناسب. ثالثاً: أن تكون صحيحة ثابتة في روايتها، لتشيع السنة الثابتة، وترسخ العلم والعمل. رابعاً: وأن تكون متصلة بحياة الناشيء في العبادات والمعاملات، ليكون على بينة من أمره. خامساً: وأن تكون موجهة لسلوكه وأخلاقه وتربيته، بحيث إذا التزمها نشأ على خلق إسلامي قويم. سادساً: وقد حرصت على الضبط الكثير، كما حرصت على شرح اللفظ الغريب، واقتصرت في العزو على الكتب المشهورة، وعلى ما يثبت الحديث ويقويه، وختمت الأحاديث بتراجم موجزة للسادة القادة الصحابة الكرام، رواة هذه الأحاديث رضي الله عنهم، مرتباً لهم على الحروف الهجائية، وكان جل اعتمادي على "تقريب التهذيب".
