يسرد الكتاب حكاية بيكاسو مع النساء اللواتي ظهرن في حياته، بحسب ما كتب ونشر، إلى الآن، وهم: فرناند، إيفا، أولغا، ماري تريز، دوراما، فرانسواز، جنفياف... وصولا إلى جاكلين.
إثنتان تزوجهما: أولغا وجاكلين، اثنتان انتحرتا: ماري تريز أسفاً على حياتها معه، وجاكلين أسفاً على غيابه عنها، اثنتان دفعهما إلى الجنون: أولغا ودورامار، إيفا ماتت قبل أن يملّها ويتركها، أو تتركه، وحدها فرانسواز، كانت أكبر من "الكارثة" هجرته وسط استهجانه، يقول بيكاسو: "لا تستطيع امرأة أن تهجرني .. أنا أقرر هجرها". هجرته فرانسواز، تزوجت، وعاشت حياتها الطبيعية. فأقامت المعارض، وأصدرت كتابا عن حياتها معه، أظهرته الرجل الصعب المراس، الغريب الأطوار، العصبي المتقلب. وصورت حياته الفنية، وحياته الوهمية، وتناولت بعض وجوه الأصدقاء والنساء. هنّ نساء في الضوء، والحقيقةتظهر أسماء كانت في الظل: جرمين، مادلين، جرترود، ناش، إيناس، دومينيك، جنفياف لابورت... وأسماء لم يكشف عنها ، إلى الآن سنقرأ عنهم في هذه السيرة ...
لم يكتفِ بواحدة، رغباته أوسع من جسد امرأة، إحساسه بالمتعة الجسديّة، كان ممزوجًا بمساحة الحضور المريح.
هل أحبّ بابلو بيكاسو كل نسائه؟ أم أن الرغبة غلبت الحب... وهل ينوجد الحب بلا رغبة؟
هل تُشبع نسائم الروح الجسد المتعطّش الى التفاعل، وصولاً الى لحظة تبدأ من الغريزة لتنتهي في العقل؟
الجواب الواضح: أن \"نساء\" بيكاسو كنّ عشيقاته، أنوثتهن مبلّلة بالطاعة، والقبول بما تيسّر.
جشعه لامتلاك كل شيء، حتى الوهم، حوّله الى مستبدٍ، قاسٍ، يتلذذ برؤية \"نسائه\" في عراكٍ، للاستئثار به، للبقاء تحت سطوته وسيطرته، وبخله، وجنونه، وداخل إطار أضيق من إي إطار لأصغر لوحة، توضع جانب، ساعة البدء بلوحة جديدة.
