ولد الكاتب والروائى حسين السيد بجمهورية مصر العربية حيث أنه نشأ وترعرع بالقاهرة الكبرى وتلقى تعليمه بمدارسها وأكمل تعليمه الجامعى بجامعة عين شمس كلية الصيدلة وتخرج منها وأصبح دكتورًا صيدلانيًا ، وعلى الرغم من نجاحه فى حياته المهنية وتخصصه المهم جدا والصعب فى آن واحد وأنه يتوجب عليه التركيز فيه وعدم الإخلال به لأنه متعلق بأرواح الكثيرين ، إلا أنه كان مجتهدًا بعمله ولم يقف عند هذا الحد بل أن طموحه أن يصبح كاتبًا عظيمًا ومشهورًا جعله ينمى قدراته الكتابية .
قام الدكتور حسين السيد بإصدار العديد من الروايات التى لاقت نجاحًا مبهرًا وأصدرت صدىً واسعًا فى مجال روايات الرعب وأكسبته شهرة عالية حتى إلتف حوله العديد من جمهور القراء .
قام بإصدار رواية تحت عنوان ” الجثة الخامسة ” .
ورواية تحت عنوان ” الشيخ الأسود ( كتاب الدم ) “ وأيضًا رواية بعنوان ” عهود الدم “ ورواية تحت عنوان ” الأعمال الكاملة لـ لا فكرافت ( المدينة التى لا اسم لها ) “ ورواية ” نجع الموت “ ثم روايته الأخيرة التى أصدرها هذا العام فى معرض القاهرة الدولى للكتاب وهى رواية ” الحاكم بأمر الله ” .
كما أنه قد شارك فى معرض القاهرة الدولى للكتاب هذا العام أيضًا بروايته ” قربان بشرى ” مع رواية ” الحاكم بأمر الله ” .
