الكتاب من تقديم عباس زرياب. -كيف يفهم اليهودي دينه؟ كيف يشرحه، ويعبّر عنه؟ كيف يعيشه ويطبق شرائعه ونواميسه؟ كيف يعي؟ هو نفسه، تاريخه ويرويه؟ كيف يقونن شرائعه لتتجاوب مع العصر؟ كيف يُعلم مبادئ دينه لأبنائه؟ نستطيع الإجابة على هذا السؤال عندما نتطرق إلى دراسة الظاهرة الدينية من الداخل وهذا ما ركز عليه الأستاذ د.عباس زرياب في دراسته القيمة التي جاءت بعنوان "شرح أحكام التوراة والتلموذ" بإستخدامه علم الأديان المقارنة، الذي يبحث في الكتب التراثية التي كتبت بيد أصحابها من مثل الشيخ الرئيس "موسى بن مَيْمون" (ت658هـ) والذي يعتبر أهم من شارك في النشاط الأدبي الفلسفي في الدولة الإسلامية. -يتعرض الكتاب لتاريخ وحياة ابن ميمون الإسرائيلي القرطبي بتفاصيلها الدقيقة لقد كان عالماً وفيلسوفاً وطبيباً ونال مكانة في الفقه والشرائع اليهودية حتى قال اليهود: "لم يظهر منذ موسى (ع) وإلى موسى (ابن ميمون) رجل مثل موسى". تأتي أهمية الكتاب من كونه دراسة موسوعية شاملة عن ابن مَيْمون: حياته، فلسفته ومؤلفاته، أما أهم آثاره هو ما جمعه من آيات الأحكام الشرعية في أسفار التوراة الخمسة (أسفار موسى) وتنظيمها في بابين: "1-الباب الأول وضع ابن ميمون فيه 248 وصية إيجابية فرضت على أبناء إسرائيل، وعليهم حفظها وتتميمها بدقة. وقد اعتمد هذا الحبر الرقم 248 لأنه مساوٍ لعدد عظام جسم الإنسان، فبإبرازه قصد التأكيد على وجوب ان يحفظ المؤمن شريعة موسى بكل عظمة... وبقلبه. نذكر منها مثلاً الإيمان بالله "خروج 20: 2 "أنا الرب إلهك الذي أخرجك من أرض مصر من بيت العبودية"، يقول ابن ميمون: "إن أول المبادئ كلها، وأساس العلم كله معرفة وجود الكائن الأسمى". 2-الباب الثاني جمع فيه ابن ميمون 365 وصية سلبية، أي ما يجب على المؤمن ان يجتنب فعله. وهي وصايا بعدد أيام السنة. والمقصود أن يمتنع اليهودي في كل يوم من السنة عمّا تحرّمه الشريعة. فينجو بالتالي من غضب الله وعقاب الآخرة. يشرح ابن ميمون في الوصايا السلبية في التوراة أنها ما يجب أن لا يعمله الإنسان ومنها مثلاً: "لا يكن لك إله آخر، سفر الخروج 20: 3 "لا يمكن لك آلهة أخرى أمامي". يقول ابن ميمون: إن من يسمح لفكرة وجود أي إله آخر غير الله بأن تدخل عقله، ينتهك وصية سلبية... وينكر جوهر الدين، لأن هذه العقيدة هي المبدأ الأساسي الذي يتوقف عليه كل شيء". ومن إنتهك هذه الوصية كان مرتداً كلياً، لا إستحقاق له ولا نصيب في إسرائيل". دراسة قيمة ونادرة في آن معاً، أهم ما نستنتجه عن قراءتها أن الصهيونية شيء واليهودية شيء آخر. فهي دين سماوي يدعوا!؟ وحدانية الله والعمل بكتابه، أما من حرف هذا الدين وجعله أداة بيد مجموعة ممن لا دين لهم من اليهود فيتحمل المسؤولية كاملة عما يحدث في عالم اليوم.
