اﻟﺨﻄﺎﺑﺔ ﻣﻦ أھِّﻢ وﺳﺎﺋﻞ ﺗﺒﻠﯿﻎ اﻷﻓﻜﺎر ﻟﻶﺧﺮﻳﻦ وأﺳﺮﻋﮫﺎ ﺳﺒﯿﻼً إﻟﻰ أﺳﻤﺎﻋﮫﻢ وﻋﻘﻮﻟﮫﻢ َﻋْﺒَﺮ ﺗﺠﱡﻤﻌﺎﺗﮫﻢ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻤﺤﺎﻓﻞ واﻟﻤﻨﺘﺪﻳﺎت وﻣﻨﺎﺳﺒﺎت اﻟﻠِّﻘﺎء اﻟﺠﻤﺎﻋّﻲِ اﻟﻤﺨﺘﻠﻔﺔ. وﻧﻈﺮاً ﻟﺘﻌﱡﺮض ھﺬا اﻟﻔِّﻦ اﻟﻠِّﺴﺎﻧّﻲِ واﻟﱠﻨﻤﻂ اﻟﻘﻮﻟّﻲِ - ﻓﻲ أﻳّﺎﻣﻨﺎ ھﺬه - ﻹﺿﻄﺮاﺑﺎت وَﺧﻠَﻞ، وﺗﺼِّﺪي ﻏﯿﺮ أھﻠﻪ ﻟﻪ، وﻣﻤﺎرﺳﺘﻪ ﺑﺼﯿﻎ ﻣﻠﺘﻮﻳﺔ وﻣﻈﺎھﺮ ھﱠﺸﺔ، ﺑﺎت ﻣﻦ اﻟﻀﺮورة ﺑﻤﻜﺎن أن ﻳﻮﺿﻊ ﺑﯿﻦ أﻳﺪي ﺳﺎﻟﻜﯿﻪ ﻣﺎ ﻳﺪﻟﱡﮫﻢ ﻋﻠﻰ طﺮﻳﻘﺘﻪ اﻟﺼﺤﯿﺤﺔ، وﺻﯿﻐﺘﻪ اﻷداﺋﯿﱠﺔ اﻟﺤﺴﻨﺔ، وﺧﺼﺎﺋﺼﻪ اﻟﮫﺎﱠﻣﺔ اﻟﺘﻲ ُﺗﻤﻜِّﻦ َﻣْﻦ َﻓِﻘﮫَﮫﺎ وإﻟَﺘَﺰﻣﮫﺎ ﻣﻦ أن ﻳﺮﺗﻘﻲ ِذروﺗﻪ، وﻳﺒﻠﻎ ﻓﯿﻪ ﻏﺎﻳَﺘﻪ، وﻳﺼﺒﺢ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺨﻄﺒﺎء اﻟﻨﺎﺟﺤﯿﻦ، واﻟﻤﺘﺤﺪﺛﯿﻦ اﻟﻤﺆﺛِّﺮﻳﻦ، واﻟﻤﺒﻠِّﻐﯿﻦ اﻟﻼﱠﻣﻌﯿﻦ. ﻓﻲ ھﺬا اﻟﻜﺘﺎب اﻟﻤﻮﺳﻮم "ﺑﺨﺼﺎﺋﺺ اﻟﺨﻄﺒﺔ واﻟﺨﻄﯿﺐ" ﺑﯿﺎٌن ﻣﻮﺟﺰ ﻷھِّﻢ اﻟﺨﺼﺎﺋﺺ واﻟﺼﻔﺎت اﻟﺘﻲ ﻳﺠﺐ أن ﺗﺘﻮﱠﻓﺮ ﻓﻲ اﻟُﺨﻄﺒﺔ واﻟﺨﻄﯿﺐ.
