عائشة كانت الأجرأ في رواية التجربة بكلمات بسيطة جدّاً وعميقة جدّاً كتبت، عرّتهم وعرّت دعايتهم الديمقراطيّة، كشفت تناقضاتهم وواجهتهم بها... جعلت أحاسيسنا، أثناء القراءة، تصعد حتّى الفرح، وتهبط حتّى الدموع، وتألمنا إلى حدّ الشعور بالألم ليس نفسياً وحسب، بل وأحسسناه عضويّاً في مفاصلنا وأرواحنا، في أعيننا وأرجلنا، في آذاننا ورؤوسنا نقلتنا إلى عوالم كثيرة، أوقفتنا أمام حقيقة أنفسنا وجهاً لوجه. - وداد البرغوثي / جريدة الأيام، رام الله
لقد انتهت المعركة بهزيمتهم الأكيدة، فلولا تلك الهزيمة لما كان لعائشة عودة أن تعود إلى تلك الساعات الأكثر عنفاً وجنوناً في حياتها كامرأة وسجينة، وتكتب عليها بهذا القدر من الصدق مع الذات والآخر؛ ولولا تلك الهزيمة الأخلاقية للمحتل لما كان نص الكتابة عميق الجذور إنسانياً، أن يصل لهذا المدى من البوح والكشف ويصبح بالتالي نموذجاً جميلاً للكتابة العفوية التي تأخذ مفرداتها من خبايا الروح، لتلامس تلقائياً بشفافية وأناقة متناهيتين روح المتلقي وتنبش في خلاياها.
