إن ممارستي لمهنة التعليم، ومكافحتي للفساد في سبيل الإرشاد، أوحى إلىَّ أن أعتقد بأن الدعو ة الإسلامية يجب أن تكون مادة مستقلة، يتفرغ الطالب لدراستها قبل أن يمارسها كعمل، بل يجب أن تكون علماً قائماً بنفسه، يفرد له تأليف الكتب كسائر العلوم الإسلامية من: حديث، وفقه، وتفسير، وأصول، ويجب أن تكون الدعوة صناعة يلزم التدريب عليها قبل القيام بتأديتها عملاً، لما اعتقدت ذلك ظللت ردحاً من الزمن أطلب كتاباً يصلح للدرس وتدريس الطلاب، ولم أعثر مع طول المدى والأمد على كتاب وجيز يفي بالمقصود، مع ضخامة عدد كتب الدعوة المكدسة في المكتبات الإسلامية الزاخرة، لذلك جمعت هذه المذكرة للتلامذة لا للأساتذة وسلكت فيها طريقة التعليم للمبتدئين، ولم أسلك طريقة لاتحليل للمنتهين، وإن كانت لا تخلو من فائدة لكل من يستسقي الوابل والطل.
