"كعب عالى"، هى المجموعة الثانية للكاتبة بعد صدور كتابها الأول "كلاب الشوارع" عن التحرش الجنسى. وكتبت بسمة العوفى، على غلاف مجموعتها فى إشارة لمضمونها "الأمر بالنسبة لى غير منطقى، خاصةً أننى أنتمى للعالم الناعم ظاهرياً، لا أحد يعرف ما نُعانيه، دائماً ما ينظرون للفتيات على أنهن ذوات كعبٍ عالٍ وطلاء أظافر فقط، نقضى معظم أوقاتنا فى الزينة والمرح، نفس نظراتهم التى تتحول لقرار حتمى بالقتل بتراضى جميع الأطراف إذا فُـضح أمر إحدى بناتهن بفقد عذريتها. مشهد سينمائى تكرر آلاف المرات لا أعرف لماذا، الزوج أو الأهل يكتشفون فقدان عذرية الابنة ليلة عُرسها فيتفق الجميع على قتلها بعـدة أشكال، إما بالقتل الفعلى أو بعزلها عن العالم وعنهم باقى العمر، كأنها بقرة ذُبحت هباءً دون أى دمعة حزن واحدة، التليفزيون والصحف يناهضون ختان الإناث وجرائم العنف ويبثون هذا المشهد مراراً كل يوم، أنا لا أدافع عن العاهرات، ولكن حتى العاهرات أعطاهن الله فرصةً للتوبة".
