عاش طفولته وتلقّى تعليمه في القاهرة..
تخرّج من كلية "دار العلوم"، جامعة القاهرة، عام 1989م..
عمل معيدًا بقسم النقد والبلاغة والأدب المقارَن بكلّية الدراسات العربية والإسلامية، جامعة القاهرة، فرع الفيوم، منذ عام 1990م؛ ثم ترك العمل الأكاديمي منذ سنوات ليتفرغ للكتابة..

لهم مَا يشاؤون لي مَا أشاءْ غِناءٌ يوسِّع هَذَا الفضاءْ ~ لهم شَاهدٌ فِي انتظار الغبارِ ولي نَخْلَةٌ تتهجَّى الضياءْ ~ هُنا واقفًا فوق تَلِّ الجِراحِ أحاولُ تطبيبَ هَذَا الهواءْ ~ أُسَجِّي الخياناتِ فِي قَبْرِها وأرفضُ أن أتلقَّى العزاءْ ~ وأهتفُ: يا موتُ.. جِئْ باسمًا فليس سوى بسمةِ الكبرياءْ ~ نعوذُ بأيامِنا أنْ تُسِيءَ ونُكرِمُ أحلامَنا أن تُسَاءْ ~ لقد خَلقَ اللهُ أحداقَنا ونحن الذين اخترعنا البكاءْ!ـ
