بحديقة العديلية رمت بجسدها أرضاً على العشب الذي يكاد يفتقر للون الحياة. العشب قد مل وباع روحه للشيطان.. بقيت أطلاله تنام هي على ظهرها مشبعة رئتيها بالسجائر. تُحدّق بالسماء الخالية من كل شيء عدا خط التلوث الممتد من منطقة الأحمدي. كان الخط شديد الوضوح حيث دفع به الهواء القادم من الجنوب. طلت شفتيها بالأحمر الفاتح الخجول. ترتدي فستاناً مزركشاً قصيراً يصل فوق الركبة تتوج أطرافه الدانتيل الأبيض. خطر تساؤل مشؤوم ببالها ليسمعه سالم - هل فكرت يوماً بالنزول من الأرض؟ - بماذا تفكرين منيرة؟ أدارت بوجهها للشمال حيث يستلقي و وجهه مستند على راحة يده اليُمنى - أفكر بالذي تفكر أنت فيه - وبماذا أفكر أنا ؟ - تُفكر بتقبيلي..
