أصطفت سياراتنا عند السور، نزلنا ودخلنا من بوابة حديدية كبيرة، الجدران مربعات حجرية صفراء اللون، لا أطفال ولا شحاذين ولا زحام، المقابر نظيفة بلا ذباب وبلا صبار.
أنزلوا التابوت الناعم من سيارته وحملوه ووجدت نفسي أحمله معهم، الثقل يضغط على كتفي وأذني ملتصقة بالخشب الناعم، مرعوب كأنني سأسمع صوتًا من الداخل، مرعوب مما أعرف، أو أظن أني أعرف، ووجهي مظلم ولكنهم سيفترضون أنه ظلام الحزن لا أكثر.
