عام 1978 أسّست نجلا جريصاتي خوري، مع جمع من الفنانين والمربّيات في بيروت، فرقة "صندوق الفرجة" للمسرح والدمى. وفي رحلة البحث عن نصّ مسرحيّ قيّم وممتع للطفل، اكتشفت خوري أنّ التراث الشفوي الشعبي هو الكنز المفقود والمنشود، فبدأت التنقيب عن الحكايات الشعبية. وها هي اليوم تُصدر نخبة منها في كتاب من جزأين صدر عن "دار الآداب" (2014). "حكايات وحكايات" كتاب يحوي مائة حكاية شعبية من لبنان، جمعتها خوري على مدى 30 عاماً من أفواه رواتها الأصليين، الذين نقلوها بدورهم عن آبائهم وأجدادهم.
