واعمالها الروائية، هي "اللامتناهي-سيرة الآخر" (عام 1995) و"جدران الخيبة أعلى" (2002) و"تراتيل العدم" (2009) و"حبل سري" (2010) و"بنات البراري" (2011) و"طبول الحب" (2012) و"الراويات" و"نفق الوجود" (2014) و" مترو حلب" (2016).
فازت مها حسن بجائزة هيلمان/هامت الأميركية عام 2005، كما أنها وصلت إلى القائمة الطويلة لجائزة بوكر العربية مرتين (2011) و(2015) من خلال روايتيها "حبل سري" و"الراويات".
Book Description
تدور أحداث الرواية حول جرائم الشرف والممارسات الذكورية على الأنثى في المجتمعات العربية التقليدية التي يكون فيها للأعراف والتقاليد أهمية قصور في حياة أفرادها.
هي رواية تهديها "مها حسن" إلى بنات جنسها إلى جميع النساء اللواتي أزهقت أرواحهن باسم الشرف.
تحكي الرواية قصة حب فتاة إسمها سلطانة، كانت فراشة نحلة، عصفوراً تمضي معظم وقتها في البرية. في المرج الأخضر، تقع في قصة حب، لتكون بعدها ضحية شرف "في الصباح استفاقت القرية على مشهد عجيب .. رأس معلق على البوابة كجرس كبير، معلناً، نظفنا شرفنا من العار". "مشهد بالغ الغرابة، جسد مفصول الرأس، يتدلى من بين الساقين رأس آخر". "أهو جسد يحمل رأسين؟ رأس في الأعلى، وآخر في الأسفل؟". "الرأس الجديد الواصل للتو إلى الحياة، لا يصرخ، لا يعلن ميلاده، كما لو أنه عرف وأحس بأن وجوده مرفوض، منبوذ. يا لها من مفاجأة ...". ولدت هذه الطفلة أثناء قطع رأس والدتها "ولدت سابحة في بركة من الدم، دم رحم أمي ودم جسدها المذبوح!" عندئذ تسمع القرية صوت نواح لا يُعرف مصدره .. سلطانة تنوح بألم جديد .. أنين ريحانة إبنتها .. ألم وبكاء ونواح، حداد تمارسه الطبيعة .. فيصبح كل شيء حزين عندما تفتح سلطانة ذراعيها وتحتضن إبنتها في قبرها. ليبقى بعد ذلك اللون الأحمر هو اللون الوحيد الذي يصبغ القرية والبراري ... لا بل يصبغ العقول المتعطشة إلى الذبح ...
