فالقبالة هي هذا الفكر العبري الباطني المأخوذ من الجذر قـ بـ ل بمعنى الاستلام، والاستلام ههنا بالقبول، ومعنى القبول هو الإجابة إلى الشيء سراً. هذه الاستجابة السرية تفرض على المتقبل لهذا الفقه أن لا يعلنه؛ فالإعلان هو شيء يقلل من قيمة الشيء وتعود الصفة أيضاً إلى معنى التلقي الشفهي. فقد مارس هذه الباطنية ثلة من العلماء الربانيين، ولمئات من السنين، وقد دعيت بالتقليد "Tradition" حتى أتى ريموند ورشلين، ود.هنري بهذا المذهب العظيم، وإفشاء هذا المذهب قد زاد في توغل الباحثين به وانتشر في الغرب، وكان له اليد الأولى في النهضة العلمية الحديثة هناك. هذا وإن المؤلف يرى بأن القبالة هي أفكار متمثلة بجميع الشرائع، فهي توافق التقمص الهندي والنيركانا وازدواجية الزرداشتية وثالوث المسيحية والخصائص الأربعة الطبيعية للصائبة، وهكذا دواليك. لأنها مزيج خلاصة لجميع القوانين العلمية والظواهر الطبيعية والفلكية والمعرفية والرياضية.
