Mohammad Rabie was born in 1978. He graduated from the Faculty of Engineering in 2002. His first novel, Amber Planet, was released in 2010 and won the First Prize in the Emerging Writers category of the Sawiris Cultural Award Competition in 2011.
His second novel, Year of the Dragon, was released in 2012.
Otared, his third novel, was published in early 2015 to much fan fare and was shortlisted for the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2016 (popularly referred to as the Arabic Booker).

كتب عقلُنا كل شيء في عقلِنا، التاريخ كما حدث بالضبط منظماً ومرتباً ومتسلسلاً تسلسلاً زمنيّاً، لم تكن هنالك شذرات مشتتِّة وغير منتظمة كما جاءتنا الأفكار قبل ساعات، بل كان كل شي منظماً، نظَّمه عقلنا وحده.
نحن نكتب هذا الكتاب لتذكير المصريين بما حدث في عصر النور، ولنخبر باقي البشر بالأحداث نفسها، لكي نخرج جميع البشر من الظلام إلى النور، ولنعلمهم الإيمان الحق، ولتدفعهم لإتباع طرق التفكير العقلانية البعيدة تماماً عن الأساطير والغيبيات.
قد يندهش القارئ العادي لما في هذا الكتاب من تفاصيل ربما لم يكن يعلمها من قبل، وربما علمها ولم يفهمها حق الفهم، لكن عليه أن يتأكد أن هذا الكتاب هو الطريق الوحيد للإيمان الحق، الإيمان بآلهة مصر.
