تحيل قصائد الشاعر محمود درويش في مجموعته المعنونة "حبيبتي تنهض من نومها" إلى علاقة جدلية بين حب الأرض، وحب المرأة، كحالة عاطفية ونفسية وانفعالية متقلبة، مع نزوع إلى تحقيق الذات الفردية / للشاعر وتأكيدها.
في القصيدة التي يفتتح بها الشاعر عمله نقرأ: "... كل نساء اللغة الصافية / حبيبتي .. / حين يجيء الربيع / الورد منفيٌ على صدرها / من كل حوض، حالماً بالرجوع / ولم أزل في جسمها ضائعاً / كنكهة الأرض التي لا تضيع ...". ففي هذه القصيدة تكرار لمفردات مبنية من صوت الشاعر حاول من خلالها أن يخلق جواً موسيقياً مميزاً وخاصاً يشيع دلالة معينة، وخاصة أنه يكرر لفظة حبيبتي في عدة مقاطع "حبيبتي كل الزنابق والمفردات / لماذا تموتين قبلي / بعيداً عن الموت والذكريات / وعن دار أهلي؟ ..." وبهذا المعنى يكون لعنوان المجموعة دلالة وهدفاً معيناً، يحمل رسالة النص، بل هو بؤرة النص ومفتاحه، وأحد التعبيرات الممكنة عنه، ما يساعد على معرفة ما يدور حوله مقصد الشاعر، وعالمه الداخلي، واكتشافه أيضاً.
