رجع للبيت متأخرا مبلول الملابس و الشعر ، كانت تمطر بغزارة تبكي مع بهاء بكاء اخير و نحيب عسير ، بهاء هذا
الشاب الحنون الواعي ذو 17 من عمره دخل للبيت و اغلق الباب خلفه وجد كتابه الذي اهدته والدته مفتوحا .
جلس يقرأه بتمعن تام يقرأ بأعلى صوته و كأنه يحفظها و فجأة تمدد غلى فراشه و اخذ يغني اغاني علمته له امه حين كان صغيرا ثم نام .
- دخل الاب على بهاء وهو يجعل من خطواته بطيئة اكثر فواصل حتى وصل إلى فراش ابنه ثم جلس في كرسي مقابل له و قال "يجب ان تعلم يا ابني اني كنت صغيرا
يوما و كنت ابكي على فراق امي الذي صحابني طوال سنوات عمري و اتمنى من كل قلبي ان لا يعذبني في قبري كلامي هذا يبعث من قلب " نهض من كرسيه الخشبي و بدأ يداعب شعره و الدموع من عينه تتساقط و يقول "انا والدك و لا اريدك ان تعيش انت كذلك حياتي في خطأ كبير كنت غبيا كنت احمق اجل ، تلك الكذبة اتذكر مضمونها و ما تحمل من اوساخ نقية لن ازيد جرحي و انت يا ابني شفاء لهذه الحروف و هل الدواء يكون مريضا لا اريد بكائك هذا الشفاء هو بسمة رسمتها منذ ان كنت صغيرا . انا اسف قلبي يحمل اضعاف هذه المشاكل لكن صدق من قال لا تبكي على من فقدت بل اعمل للوصول إليه '' غادر الغرفة يحمل في خده دموع الرجال . -استيقض بهاء مذعورا من حلم يراوده هذه الايام يريد معرفته ما فهمه منه هو القصر الذي كان في حيه و يدعى قصر لعنة سندمار فذهب يبحث عنه .
- ضل يجري و يجري باحثا عنه يعرفه لكن لا يعرف مكانه بالضبط، في تلك اللحضة رأته رحاب _صديقته و حبيبته _ يمضي بدون سبيل حافي القدمين في هذا البرد القارس فتبعته تريد معرفت ما يدور في خلده ، فجأتا ضهر من العدم ضوء ساطع و خرج منه رجل نحيل البنية طويل القامة وجهه لوحة رسمها فنان محترف انحنى لها و قال بصوت يسوده الاحترام "انه ينتضرك جلالتك ، هل نذهب الآن ؟ " فهمت ماذا يجري .
