وجه الحاج حمام على عمر، أحد كبار قرية المراشدة بمركز الوقف بمحافظة قنا، التحية للكاتب محمد السيد صالح خلال حفل توقيع كتابه الجديد "أسطورة القصر والصحراء"، الذي يتناول السيرة الذاتية لأحمد حسنين باشا رئيس ديوان الملك فاروق. وقال الحاج حمام، إنه "عندما قرأ خبرا صغيرا في أحد الكتب عن هذه الندوة حرصت ألا أغادر القاهرة إلى مسقط رأسي في مدينة قنا إلا بعد أن أحضر هذه المناقشة التي أثرت وعيي بشكل كبير وسط كوكبة من نجوم الفكر والإبداع". وأضاف حمام، الذي استمد شهرته من لقائه بالرئيس السيسي في زيارته لمحافظة قنا مايو الماضي، إن "موضوع الكتاب مهم جدًا نظرا لأنه يغير وجهة نظرنا في أحد أقطاب التاريخ وهو حسنين باشا"، مطالبًا بضرورة استكمال الكشف عن كثير من الشخصيات التي ظلمها التاريخ.
