"الآن استيقظتُ.. تيقنتُ أنني هذا الرجلُ المتكرِّرُ يوميًا، والذي يجلسُ على هذا الكرسيّ أمامَ هذا المكتب، في هذا المكان.. كلُّ هذه السنواتِ، وهو يحكُّ جلدَهُ في حائطٍ يتخَّيلُ أنه يخصُّهُ، أنه يذبلُ وينمو فيهِ.. يااااااه.. كلُّ هذا الوقتِ مرَّ ولم نتقابل، لم نشرب الشايَ، لم نخرج معا ؟! المساءاتُ اللعينةُ تكرِّرُ نفسَهَا كتعاويذَ محنَّطةٍ، علىّ أن أنشغلَ بشيءٍ ما، أحدِّدُ زاويةً أخرى لفقدكِ، ربما أستطيع أن أغلِّفَهُ برائحةِ برتقالةٍ، أضعَهُ كخاتمٍ في أصبع الحديقة.
الأمرُ لا يتعلّقُ بالدراما، أنا عجوزٌ يحبو الكونُ على ساقيّ كجرادةٍ، وأنتِ تبحثين عن بقايا فمي المفتت في كأسك.. لا فواصلَ في ليلكِ، لا زرقةَ، لا سماءَ، لا بحرَ، لا ضفاف.. مللتُ لعبةَ الضمائرِ المتَّصلةِ، تغادرُ دون لحظةِ تفردٍ.
يا ابنة الرمل، هكذا سميتكِ، قرأتكِ في الفنجان، هكذا أتخيّلك حين أبتعدُ: عضّةُ شفتينِ معلقةٌ في سقف الهاتف".
