لأنّ الجسد يحبّ العادات، بكل بساطة. وسيرضى دوماً بالعادات التي تقدّمونها له. امنحوه عادات جيدة، وسيتبنّاها عن طيب خاطر. فالجسد يشبه الطفل إلى حدٍّ ما. إن أحسنتم معاملته، فسيعوّضكم بمئة ضعف. لذا صِيْغَ هذا الكتاب على شكل نصوص قصيرة، وأحياناً قصيرة جداً، ولكنها دقيقة ومفيدة دوماً. ربما ستقرؤونه دفعة واحدة، لكنكم ستعودون بالتأكيد إليه لتصفّحه، ما دام يغصّ بالنصائح العملية التي يمكن اتّباعها على الفور. لقد أردته وصمَّمته بأسلوب سهل وبسيط، لأنّ هذه هي طريقتي في الحياة ولأنّ ذلك لا ينتقص شيئاً من محتواه أو جديته أو أهميته.
أنتم تعرفونني: أفضِّل الإقناع على الوعظ، والإغراء على التهديد، والتثقيف على الترهيب. أعتقد أنه ليس هنالك عمر محدّد ليَبدأ المرء، ولا عمر ليفعل الصواب، ولا عمر ليأخذ بزمام صحته.
أخبركم بهذا لأنني مقتنع به، ولأنني جربته، لأنني أثق بكم، ولأنني، بالتأكيد أيضاً، أحبكم.
