تضمَّن مؤلفات ثلاثة مهمة متكاملة في علم مصطلح الحديث؛ وهي: أولًا: كتاب " علوم الحديث " المعروف بـ " مقدمة ابن الصلاح "، وقد جمع فيه مؤلفه ما كان مفرَّقًا عند غيره من علوم الحديث، فاستصفى خلاصتها، وضمَّ إليها نخبًا وفوائد جمَّة، حتى حظي كتابه بعناية العلماء شرحًا وتهذيبًا واختصارًا ونظمًا. ثانيًا: كتاب " التقييد والإيضاح لما أُطلق وأُغلق من كتاب ابن الصلاح " للحافظ العراقي ؛ وقد حوى نكتًا وفوائد لا غنى لدارس كتاب ابن الصلاح عن تحصيلها. ثالثًا: حاشية الشيخ محمد راغب الطباخ ، وقد سمَّاها: " المِصباح على مقدمة ابن الصلاح "؛ تمَّم بها بعض فوائد الكتابين، وحلَّ ما أشكل فيهما. وقد امتازت هذه الطبعة بأنها جاءت مشكولةً شكلًا تامًّا، وبإخراج فني مناسب يربط بين المتن وشرحه.
