الذي عاشته بلادهم عبر عصورها التاريخية.
ورغم أن الأرمن من أقدم "الجاليات" التي وفدت إلى مصر منذ عصر الأسرات الفرعونية القديمة وكذلك إلى فلسطين، فإنهم ظلوا يعيشون في حضن الطائفة من حيث الحفاظ على التقاليد والعادات التي نشؤوا عليها. وإذا كان الأرمن الذين جاؤوا إلى مصر منذ الزمن القديم، فهم قد قاموا بذلك في إطار البحث عن مصادر للحياة، أمَّا الذين جاؤوا إلى القدس من أرمينيا،فقد كان ذلك هربًا من الملاحقة ومن مناخ التوتر الطائفي بين المسلمين وغير المسلمين.
على كل حال، عندما شعرت طوائف غير المسلمين من جهة، وغير العرب من جهة أخرى، بأنهم مجرد أقلية تحت حكومة "إسلامية" ليس لهم حقوق متساوية ويفتقدون حقوق المواطنة، ابتعدوا بأنفسهم عن السياسة والإدارة، وانصرفوا إلى النشاط الاقتصادي والاجتماعي كما هو حال الأرمن فى مصر.
وتمكَّن الأرمن في الشتات وبلاد المهجر من التواصل العرقي والمحافظة على لغتهم وتراثهم وثقافتهم وعاداتهم وتقاليدهم،وحتى يومنا هذاوفي ظل الثورة العلمية وتقدم وسائل الاتصال السريع، ما زالوا على تواصل عبر التليفون أو الإنترنت أو الفيسبوك أو تويتر.
حيث تعاطف المؤلف مع الأرمن، كما يبدو من عبارت الإهداء وسرده للتفاصيل المريرة والمواقف السياسية المؤسفة التي مروا بها، الأمر الذي قد يجعله في نظر البعض منحازًا، ولكنه انحياز موضوعي يستند إلى حقائق موضوعية وليس انحيازًا عاطفيًا.
