يأتى هذا المؤلف ثمرة جهدى فى مرحلة الدكتوراة ونتيجة لما أرشدنى اليه مشرفى فى مرحلة الماجستير الأستاذ الدكتور سامى الشريف الأستاذ بقسم الإذاعة والتليفزيون عندما قابلنى فى أحد أروقة كليتى العريقة كلية الإعلام – جامعة القاهرة وسألنى وكنت وقتها فى مرحلة تمهيدى الماجستير لماذا لا يوجد لدينا رسائل تهتم بالربط بين الإعلام والإسلام؟ وفعلا منذ تلك اللحظة وجدت دافع يتولد بداخلى ويوجهنى لربط بين تخصصى فى الإذاعة والتليفزيون والإسلام أو ما يطلق عليه الأن مصطلح الإعلام الإسلامى وكان توجه جديد فى كليتنا فى هذا الوقت عام 2001 حيث كانت تلك الفترة تمثل هجوم اعلامى شديد على الإسلام والمسلمين بعد أحداث 11 سبتمبر وحاولت فعلا فى رسالتى للماجستير والدكتوراة التى أقدم لها الان فى هذا الكتاب أن يكون تخصصى الإعلام الإسلامى حيث كان موضوع رسالتى للماجستير هو (صورة الإسلام كما تعرضها المواقع الإسلامية على شبكة الإنرتنت) ورسالتى للدكتوراة موضوع هذا الكتاب تركز على طرح الفضائيات لقضايا الإفتاء على الهواء من خلال برامج معدة خصيصا لذلك فلقد هالنى كم الفتاوى الفضائية فى فترة اعدادى لرسالتى للدكتوراة الشاذة والغريبة على مجتمعنا العربى وكان فى هذا الوقت فتاوى الفضائيات تتصدر البرامج الدينية ويرى المتصلون انها ساعدتهم على الوصول لحل سريع للمشكلة أو الموضوع الذى يؤرقهم.
